Healthy No-Churn Ice Cream ingredients
- 3-4 very ripe bananas
- 2-3 tablespoons natural creamy peanut butter
- 1-2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
instructions to Make Healthy No-Churn Ice Cream
Step 1
Slice the bananas and freeze until firm.
Note: Freeze in a single layer and once hard you can place them in a freezer bag until you’re ready for them.
Step 2
In a powerful blender or food processor blitz the frozen bananas.
Note: I find the food processor works best and you might need to wait a few minutes for the bananas to soften slightly.
Step 3
Once smooth, add cocoa powder and peanut butter to taste. Start with a scoop of each and build from there until it tastes just how you or your kid likes.
The tasting is my son’s favorite part!
Step 4
Enjoy it right away for a soft serve treat! Or place the mixture in a plastic container and place in the freezer until hard enough to scoop.
I hope the next time you’ve got a few spotted bananas you stop yourself from throwing them out and make ice scream instead!
