Last week’s post was on how to create your own felt pretend food, but once you have the food you need a place to store it, along with all the other pretend kitchen accessories. We no longer have a pretend play kitchen, it was taking up too much space and it has found a new home, but the girls still enjoy pretending to cook. Here is a great DIY storage solution that doubles as a stove. . All you need to create your own stove is a clear plastic storage tub, gray and black arcylic paint, and a lid. Use the lid to trace circles to be your “stovetop”. Paint the circles black and cover with two layers of acrylic paint. 4. This is such a great idea! 🙂 The pretend food in our church nursery is all mixed up with other toys, and this would be a great way to keep it organized and provide another stove as well. I like the felt food idea as well.

  5. Simple and effective! Love it! Thanks for participation in last week’s High paw and hope to see you again this week!

  6. This is a brilliant idea. We store our play food in a container just like that one, all I need to do is draw the stove parts on!

  7. That’s so clever! I wish ideas like this were around when my teens were toddlers. Visiting from Blog Frog’s Spring Challenge Link Up!
