WHY IS ORIGAMI GOOD FOR KIDS?

Origami is more than a fun paper craft: it helps enhance fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination while encouraging patience and perseverance as they follow step-by-step instructions to complete a project.

Not only that, but origami also fosters creativity and imagination, allowing kids to experiment with different shapes and designs. Overall, it is a great activity for kids of all ages.

Now, grab your paper and let’s get folding our own origami tulip!

Let’s start with the tulip petals:

Step 1

Let’s get started! We are using a pink sheet for the petals but you can use any color you want. Fold in half horizontally and unfold.

Step 5

Now that it’s unfolded, let’s make a “waterbomb base”. To do this, start pushing the paper from both sides, and a triangle should form. Continue holding it down until the sides meet in the center. Then, push the paper down to form a triangle.
