let’s make s’mores sugar cookie dessert pizza recipe!
Making multiple meals a day for the kids while we’ve been stuck at home has been exhausting. So, my daughter has taken over baking treats for everyone to enjoy for dessert. I’m more than happy for her to take this on because it’s one less thing I’ve had to worry about over the past couple of months.
Her latest baking project is this s’mores sugar cookie dessert pizza. She’s 13-years-old and was able to make this on her own with just a few helpful instructions and supervision from me along the way. If you have younger kids, this is such a fun (and delicious) baking project you can do together.

You will see from the recipe below that we had leftover dough, consequently, you can use it to make sugar cookies to decorate later, or make two smaller dessert pizzas. Try different toppings for a second one such as fresh fruit with cream cheese frosting. Just remember to bake your cookie for an extra couple of minutes and then cool it completely before adding your toppings.

directions to make S’mores sugar cookie dessert pizza recipe
Step 1
Heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Step 2
Follow the directions on the Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie mix packet to make your dough.
Step 3
On a floured surface, and using a floured rolling pin, roll out the dough until it’s about 1/4″ thick.
Step 4
Find a bowl or plate that’s a couple of inches smaller than your pizza tray and place it over the top of your dough being careful not to press on it. Carefully use a knife to cut around the plate so you have a perfectly round pizza shape. Sugar cookies expand as they’re baking (which we found out the hard way), so make sure there’s about an inch of space between the cookie and the edge of the pizza tray.
Step 5
Transfer your cookie dough onto a lightly greased pizza tray and pop it into the oven for 11-minutes. Immediately remove the cookie from the oven and move the top oven tray to just underneath the broiler. Adjust your oven settings so that the broiler is set to high making sure to leave the oven door open.
Step 6
Quickly scatter chocolate chips over the top of the warm cookie because then they melt a little and you can top them with mini marshmallows.
Step 7
Using oven mitts, put your cookie tray back under the broiler and stare at it until the marshmallows expand and start to brown on top.
Step 8
Brush the excess flour off your rolling pin and use the pin to crush a few graham crackers in a sealed bag, and then sprinkle them over the top of your pizza.
Step 9
In the microwave, melt the remainder of your chocolate chips and then pour the chocolate into a piping bag or plastic condiment dispenser. Sweep it back and forth over the top of the pizza to add streaks of melted chocolate.
