Creepy Crawly Grub Slime Recipe Inspired by Lion King

This Homemade Lion King Grub Slime Recipe was inspired by Timon and Pumbaa’s Grub in the movie. We think it turned out to be a fantastic Lion King craft that works for kids of all ages who love the movie or bugs! This bug slime can be altered for lessons at home or in the classroom.

Let’s make homemade slime inspired by the Lion King Movie!

Easy Grub & Bug Slime REcipe

We took our favorite easy slime recipe and added a bright yellow color that reminds us of the sun and some grubs and bugs for extra ooey, gooey slime fun.

This homemade slime recipe is made with liquid starch instead of borax.

Supplies Needed to Make Lion King Grub Slime

Directions to Make Homemade Slime with Grubs

Step 1

In a bowl combine the glue, 2 drops of yellow food coloring, and water.

Mix together with stirrer.

Step 2

Now add in the liquid starch slowing and stir thoroughly at the same time.

You’ll notice the slime forming right before your eyes and when this happens, you’ll need to use hands to knead the slime for a few minutes.

Step 3

Once it’s all combined add in your choice of plastic bugs.

Step 4

Place on leaf plate and let Timon and Pumbaa enjoy their grub bug slime.
