Blog-Stedman and I are two of the most opinionated people I know. It is probably a good thing that on most issues we agree. It is also probably a good thing that I am a see-both-sides-of-any-issue-and-then-invent-a-third-side kinda girl.

Obviously opinionation is a dominant gene.
My boys seem to have been issued a double dose of it.
Not only are they unable to agree with each other, they are unable to agree with me.
What?
We have literally bred dissension.
In my house, EVERYTHING in the world is opposed from three differing positions.
If Ryan(8) thinks it is tall…
Reid(5) thinks it is short…
and Rhett(3) is positive that it is blue.*
*FYI: Blue is the opposite of short and tall.
The only thing that I can get them all to agree on is that I am wrong.
Oh, and I don’t REALLY have to be wrong. I am ruled wrong when the three of them agree that I am wrong.
Which just seems wrong.
I have a little wish. I don’t think that my wish will come true, but I hold it dear and dream of it often.
It is an impossible dream.
The unachievable nirvana.
My wish is that I could make a statement in the presence of my family and it would be followed by…
SILENCE.
And maybe a little affirmative nodding of their heads.
A mom has to hold on to hope.
We all have that little dream 😉
Good luck with that.
Seriously. I mean that in the best possible sense.
Never. Going. To. Happen.
Have you been drinking? Or something harder? Bill Clinton is more likely to sire another child with Hilary than for your give to nod assent willing at you. Maybe you need another drink.
I have a two year old and I am already wrong. I imagine it will be much worse as he grows up. This is my first visit to your site. I will be back, as I am adding you to my favorites on Blog Catalog. I hope to read more of your posts later tonight after my little one falls asleep!
Maddening when our kids turn out just like us, isn’t it?!
I’m right there with ya. Some day they will say ‘our Mom was the smartest person in the world’. I can dream. Either that or they have a very small world. I think I need to rethink the dream. 🙂
I’m impressed that Rhett knows the opposite of tall and short is blue! That’s awesome. Maybe he can do some of those Netflix commercials – I see a star in the making. 🙂
FYI – Are your tags bleeding into the written text, or is it just me? I can’t read the first line to your post on the site, but I can read it fine in my reader. Of course, since I am an odd person, maybe it’s just me. Or, maybe I just brought on some agonizing pain and suffering in trying to figure out just what, exactly, I am talking about, followed by a little paranoia (don’t know why, just felt like writing the word paranoia, it’s my word of the day{I just decided that})
I’ll leave now.
If your family is anything like mine (and it sounds like they are), well then I wish you the best of luck. : > )
If you want to adopt me – I will nod.
