How to Make a Paper Plate Frisbee

It’s raining and the kids are cooped up in the house.  Not a fun weekend!  BUT… what if we took a classic outdoor activity, frisbee golf, and brought it inside?

It’s an afternoon of color, creativity, and action!

We made a  paper plate frisbee – or ten!

How to Make a Paper Plate Frisbee

First you will need a stack of paper plates.  We painted ours as color makes a rainy day just that much brighter!  If you do decorate, be sure to color the bottom of your plate as that’s what you will see when the frisbee is put together.

You will also need pointy scissors.  Poke a hole in the center of your plate with the scissors and then cut an “X” up to the plates “circle”.  Next, cut the circle out.  You are left with a plate “O”.

Tape your two circles together so that the bottoms face out.  You can also use a stapler but my kiddos couldn’t manage that on their own.  So tape it was!

Now you have a frisbee!  And if you are like us, you won’t make just one, you’ll have 6 or 20!

Make a Frisbee Game

Have your kids play “indoor” frisbee golf with their new creations.  Pick targets in the house: on top of a bookshelf, a stair railing, a basket, etc.

Try and throw your frisbee to land in or on your target!  Good times!
