Today we are foot painting! Kids of all ages, younger children and older children, will love this foot painting activity. We all have finger painted and painted with paintbrushes, but this is a fun variation! It’s not only a fun art project, but doubles as a sensory activity as well. You can do this foot painting at home or in the classroom!

Believe it or not foot painting provides a lot of benefits. Not only is it fun and encourages color mixing and exploration and boosts your child’s mood by letting them do something fun and creative, but it’s educational!

Supplies Needed For Foot Painting
How To Do Foot Painting
Step 1
Lay out your paper.
Step 2
Fill your containers with shaving cream and mix acrylic paint in.
Step 3

Have your kids dip their feet in the shaving cream and paint pictures on the paper.
Craft Notes:
Make sure your kids are wearing shorts that you don’t mind getting dirty. This is also a craft you wanna put something under or do outside.
Variations Of This Foot Painting Craft For Kids

There are ways to change up this craft to make it your own or to make it easier or harder for kids of all ages. You can do stuff like:
- Don’t want to use shaving cream? You don’t have to. You can use regular acrylic or finger paint.
- Have kids draw pictures with their feet. Can they make things like butterflies? Flowers? Animals?
- Can you write your name using your toes or feet?
