She is Dallas info: Â This summer I have joined in the Check-In for Check Ups challenge to feed my kids healthy snacks. Â I hope you will set your own healthy goal and join me in the fun. Â The Check-In for Checkups program is sponsored by Clorox and benefits Children's Health Fund (CHF). Â You can follow my healthy habit progress here at She is Dallas or on Twitter with the hashtag: Â #checkinforcheckups. Â For each check-in, Clorox will donate 10 cents, up to $100,000, to CHF to help support their goal of providing half a million health care visits to disadvantaged children across the country. Â I am working with The Clorox Company to get the word out about this program.
Bartonville.
This morning I stopped by in search of some healthy snacks to feed my kids. Â I figured whatever I found could be made into something that they would eat.
I smelled them before I saw them.
They were amazing Texas peaches grown in Pittsburg…Pittsburg, TX.
I picked up a box and then was offered a taste of one.
After eating a sample, I picked up an additional box.
They were that good.
I took them home expecting to slice them on graham crackers slathered in almond butter, but I didn’t even get that far.
The boys ate the peaches as quickly as I could slice them. Â We didn’t have time to get the cracker box or the almond butter jar out of the pantry.
They were that good.
I am headed back next week to pick up some more, if you don’t beat me to them.
I love going to the Farmer’s Market.
My closest one is the one in
I would LOVE to get my hands on some Farmer’s Market goodies!!! I live near Larken Farms but have never been, because they’re only open 9-5 on Thurs and Fri! Bummer. I gotta get there soon!
Have you ever had Larken Farms peaches from Waxahachie? They’re so good they make our knees buckle! The only problem with farmers markets is they aren’t open every day and we can’t get there every weekend. That’s why we are gathering the best foods from DFW and put them online, where people can get delivery whenever they want. We’d love to know what your readers think of this idea!
With all these silly websites, such a great page keeps my innetret hope alive.
