My kids believe popsicles are close to the perfect food.
This is one that we made for dessert the other night, but will use as a snack this summer. It is a fun way to beat the Texas summer heat.
I call it…
Chocolate Covered Strawberry Popsicles
…because it sounds fancy and like it took a lot of work.
It isn’t a lot of work and my boys ages 5, 8 & 10 did all if it.

Ingredients:
Several strawberries
Milk
Ovaltine (we used Rich Chocolate flavor)
Directions:
Slice the strawberries and place them in the Popsicle mold. I have a Zoku Popsicle maker and that requires that the strawberries are sliced very thinly or else the Popsicle stick won’t have room.
Mix up the Ovaltine and milk to the desired chocolate-y-ness and pour into Popsicle mold over strawberries.
Freeze.
See, that was super easy.
My boys thought it was a big treat…and then proceeded to use them as weapons.
Yep, that is how it goes around here.
