I don’t usually get a “Mommy Drink” but thought I’d be a little adventurous this time.   I got a Red Robin Tropical Mai Tai – A blend of Myers's ® Dark and Bacardi ® Select rums, orange curacao, fruit juices, grenadine & sweet ™n ˜ sour.   Fruity and sweet.   Perfectly blended. There’s really no better way to start off a Red Robin meal that with their incredible Towering Onion Rings.   Imagine 13 rings of sweet yellow onions, breaded & crisply fried, then stacked for a fun presentation. They are served with tangy Campfire Sauce and ranch dressing for dipping.   But you’ve got to believe me.  They aren’t just great because of the impressive tower.   These are seriously the best onion rings I’ve even had – even my kids LOVE them. I usually get the Burnin’ Love Burger (because I like it HOT) but today I wanted something a little lighter.   I ordered a soup and salad combo.   First came the French Onion Soup.   It looked wonderful and I couldn’t wait to dig in.   But it wasn’t as good as it looks.   Actually it seemed to have a greasy feel to it. But the salad  made up for the disappointing soup.  Fresh vegetables and a sliced grilled chicken breast, cheese, hard boiled egg, black beans, and tomatoes make for a very filling and delicious salad. Red Robin has some incredibly creative burgers overflowing with toppings.   This is the Santa Fe Burger.   It’s a big juicy burger seasoned with ancho, fire-roasted poblano pepper, guacamole, sautéed onions, crisp tortilla strips, lettuce, Pepper-Jack cheese and chipotle mayo. It’s just so good! And I just have to point out that this may be the only restaurant where the burger actually looks just as big and juicy in person as it does in the menu.   And the Bottomless Fries are perfectly made as well.   M’mmmm.
