Occupying a corner space in a strip of buildings at the front of the Firewheel Town Center (right off of 78, near the PGBT), Eddie’s Napolis Italian Bistro is a welcome addition. In an area that seems to be saturated in chain restaurants, it’s refreshing to see a locally owned establishment settle in and take off. It helps that the food they serve is delicious, from the hot and fresh rolls and marinara they bring to every table to the generous helpings of pasta bathed in rich sauces. My husband and I first visited Napolis Bistro right after they opened last year on a very rare date night sans kids. We fell in love with the Chicken Piccata and Chicken Carciofi, and have been back several times since, bringing various family members along. We even made a special trip there on Christmas Eve, my due date with my little girl, just so I could eat some Eggplant Parmigiana in hopes of getting her out in time for Santa’s arrival. While my attempt was unsuccessful (she was 4 days late), the food was super satisfying, the service was warm and prompt, and they even had Santa on hand to encourage my toddler son to hurry home and hop into bed. Beyond the amazing dishes, there is something to be said for the service. Every time we are there, it’s the same set of faces that greet us. It’s easy to see they all take great pride in the restaurant, and it’s obvious the management’s involvement goes far beyond managing behind the scenes. As for pricing, it’s a great value, in my opinion. The average entree is less than $13, and chances are, you’ll be bringing some of it home with you after you devour a basket (or 2!) of those homemade rolls and marinara. I’ve also heard great things about their pizza ($15.95 for a 9 topping large), but have never been able to bring myself to cheat on the Chicken Piccata to try it!
