The flag of South Korea is also called Taegukgi which means supreme ultimate flag. Each color on the flag was chosen for a specific reason. Also, the black lines in each corner have their own story to share.
- The white background was chosen for purity and peace as well as to represent the popular color on clothing in the country
- The blue and red shape in the center is called Taeguk, or yin and yang
- Blue is for negative energy
- Red is for positive energy
- The black trigrams in each corner have a different meaning: justice, vitality, wisdom and fruition
