As as dance artist, trying to better my technique, and as a new wife desiring to stay healthy and fit for my husband, I have discovered the kind of foods that work for me. The number one food type that I say no to is not dessert, but processed foods. Of course there is the fast food here and there, but when I decided to eat whole foods and non-processed foods several years ago, my life changed. My dancing was better because I had the right energy. I was launching a dance company and I needed to be as healthy as possible. When  I met my husband, my eating habits inspired him as well. I have a collection of foods that I love and buy unprocessed. whole grain rice, pasta, bread -Turkey meat – with organic mustard and mayo -Natural breads -Sweet potatoes with organic honey – Yogurt – organic -Whole grain pasta- organic pasta sause – organic cheese – unbleached rice -uncured beef hot dogs -hormone free chicken, beef -organic eggs -Natural dressings -Organic fruit, dried fruit- Natural sweeteners like cane juice or cane sugar This is just to name a few…. When I decided to eat all natural foods most of the time, I saw a difference in my weight and energy level. It truly worked for me! I feel more in shape than I did when I was in undergrad four years ago, even when I am in a lull in exercising The cost is a tad more than the average grocery store, but I feel it is worth it in the long run. Crazy hospital bills because of eating cancerous foods, or a little more on my bill at the check-out counter.  My hubby loves his new found energy and sense of well-being when eating healthy, and I do too. It’s awesome! Places I go to buy food- Sprouts, most health markets, Central Market, and of course Whole Foods.
