Cookie Dough Truffles
Making homemade candy is a Christmas tradition and a great way to make memories with loved ones, while making a DIY gift, or a platter for a Christmas party. This is also a great recipe for kids! There are so many ways for little helpers to assist. Cookie Dough Truffle Ingredients: ½ cup unsalted butter, softened ¾ cup brown sugar, packed 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups all-purpose flour ** see notes 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk ½ cup mini chocolate chips Coating: Chocolate Almond Bark Garnish Sprinkles Chocolate Almond Bark White Chocolate Chocolate shavingsHow to Make Cookie Dough Truffles
Makes 40-45 Prep Time: 20 min Chill Time: 2 hours This no-bake cookie dough recipe is a great treat to make while waiting for other holiday goodies to bake! 1. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until fluffy. 2. Beat in vanilla extract. 3. Gradually add flour, alternating with the milk. 4. Stir in chocolate chips. 5. Transfer mixture to small bowl and place in freezer about 1 hour. 6. Remove from freezer. 7. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. 8. Form balls with cookie dough scoop and place on prepared baking sheets. 9. Place in freezer 30-60 minutes, longer is fine. 10. Add almond bark to microwave safe bowl and heat for 1 minute. 11. Stir and continue heating for 30 seconds at a time until chocolate is almost melted. 12. Remove and stir until chocolate is completely smooth. 13. Line another baking sheet with parchment paper. 14. Remove 5-6 balls from freezer at a time. 15. Using a fork and knife, dip balls in melted chocolate, allowing the chocolate to drip off into the bowl. 16. Place on prepared baking sheet. 17. If using garnish, like sprinkles, add immediately before chocolate hardens. 18. Repeat with remaining balls. 19. Let set 15-30 minutes to set. 20. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. Notes:- If you would like, you can heat treat the flour.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- Evenly spread flour onto large baking sheet.
- Bake for 7-8 minutes or until an instant read thermometer registers 160 degrees F.
- Cool completely before using.
