I’m sure if you’re anything like our family, you’re still trying to find things to keep your kids entertained as we all continue to be at home.
I’ve made a Google doc for my 12-year-old son for all the educational sites, fun videos on YouTube and other places he can visit while we’re stuck at home. And now, thanks to Popsicle®, there’s another link I can add to his list.
Popsicle has teamed up with educational media company Story Pirates and STEAM-based creator Left Brain Craft Brain, to bring Virtual Recess.
Every Tuesday and Thursday at 11 am PST/2 pm EST, Popsicle will be posting Live on their Instagram account.
Virtual Recess will share creative tutorials and activities that your family can do together. This series will be appropriate for kids ages 6-12, you won’t need to bring any special equipment or supplies and everything can be completed in no more than 20 minutes.
“Popsicle believes that kids’ imaginations are their greatest superpowers and that imaginative play provides critical learning and development skills to help them thrive,” said Russel Lilly, Senior Director, U.S. Ice Cream at Unilever. “By launching Virtual Recess in collaboration with our amazing play experts, we hope to provide easy, fun ways for kids to do what they do best – use their imaginations.”
Can’t watch it Live? That’s OK because every activity will be posted to Popsicle’s Instagram feed so you can watch it any time. If you participate, share your photos and make sure to use the hashtag #PopsicleVirtualRecess and check out Popsicle.com/Playzone for all of Popsicle’s at-home imaginative play resources, including crafts, games, jokes and more.
