ABC News is teaming up with Johnson & Johnson, BabyCenter and BlogFrog to help unite moms and bring attention to the needs of moms in developing countries. As an adopting mom who happens to be a blogger, this is a cause that is near and dear to my heart. Right now, there are millions of kids who are severely malnourished due to famines and wars, there are millions of families who do not have access to clean water or medical care. My hope is that two of the kids who make up that statistic will soon come home to us, hopefully this spring. I am honored to participate in a chat hosted by A Million Moms. The Million Moms Challenge is a “call-to-action to engage a million Americans with millions of moms overseas to raise awareness about the challenges facing moms and babies in the developing world.” They have created a community and a website full of articles and discussions about our “villages”. Parenting is hard, and it is something that is impossible to accomplish alone. Come join the discussion, tomorrow during lunch time. Tell us what your support system looks like.
