I wanted to write about how we use HoneyBaked Ham at Christmas because it makes my life so much easier and less stressful which is why I was so excited to partner with HoneyBaked Ham.  All opinions expressed are my own. The holidays are all about family. Spending time together.  Laughing together.  Eating together. It is that last one that trips me up!  I love to eat, but I am not very good at cooking…and certainly not the kitchen multi-tasking that it requires to pull of an amazing Christmas dinner. Until now…

Yummy holiday food from our local Lewisville HoneyBaked Ham Store

Have a HoneyBaked Holiday!

I learned this at Thanksgiving.  We had a lovely spread – smoked turkey, sweet potato souffle, green beans with almonds, garlic mashed potatoes, and cinnamon apples.  And I spent minimal time in the kitchen thanks to HoneyBaked Ham.  The turkey was already cooked.  The sides just required being heated up.  We topped it off with carrot cake which is now a new Thanksgiving tradition. Why not Christmas? Quite honestly, the time to make Christmas dinner is even less than Thanksgiving because of all the other Santa duties involved that day!
Celebrate Christmas with HoneyBaked Ham
We used craft paper to cover the table with some snowflake ornaments…it turned out so pretty!

HoneyBaked Ham for Christmas

I headed back to my HoneyBaked Ham store in Lewisville, TX.  I picked up a ham, garlic mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green beans and that crazy-good sweet potato souffle. We decorated the table with snowflakes on craft paper.  I love wrapping Christmas presents in this simple brown paper.  It probably goes back to the Sound of Music and ‘My Favorite Things’…brown paper packages tied up in strings. So I have lots of this paper at home.  We stretched it over the table and taped it below.  It makes a lovely neutral background and was just begging for pops of red. Easy Christmas Table Activity for Kids

Craft paper on the table makes for really easy table entertainment.  A few crayons can transform the monotony of adult conversation into a magical time for kids.

Doesn’t Have to Just be the Kids Table

Pssst…give the adults crayons too.  You know they will be reaching for the kids’ colors to create their own table masterpieces. The bonus of the paper-covered table is that spills don’t matter and it is really easy to clean up at the end. But wait…we aren’t quite ready for clean up!
Coconut Cake from HoneyBaked Ham - Kids Activities Blog
Dessert is our favorite part of the Christmas dinner!

Have a HoneyBaked Dessert

HoneyBaked Ham stores have a vast array of desserts.  There are pies!  There are cakes!  Oh the choices! We decided on a coconut cream cake.  It was the perfect end to a delicious meal. While I was at the store, I also picked up the most delicious coffee cake that we had at breakfast earlier that day.
