Sure, zoos are cool but how much cooler is a wildlife ranch where you can pretend you're on safari? Animals are always fascinating, and even more so when you enter their cage yourself for an up-close look. The experience at Sharkarosa is very hands-on. The kids are able to get up close and in many cases pet various animals.
Throughout the ranch were signs and displays that contained educational information related to animals that live there.
My favorite part of the Sharkarosa experience was the safari “train” that takes you through the different animal areas. The passenger trailers had buckets of food attached to the sides so the animals would come up to the trailers to eat.
Can you imagine getting an up-close interactive experience like this at the price of $5 for adults?

The animals get so close to the trailer that you can reach out and touch the taller animals. The guides throw food out to the smaller animals so they are also close enough to observe.
It took us about 45 minutes to drive from Flower Mound. We spent about 3 hours there.
