First we need to create the bird puppet!

The first part of this art project is creating the bird. Using a piece of paper, cut out a circle or oval shape. Then you decorate the bird by giving it eyes, a beak, and wings, then you can glue the bird to the popsicle stick and add any other decorations such as feathers or buttons!

The next part to creating this art project is creating a nest for the baby bird to live in! With half of a plate, allow the kids to decorate the plate to look like a nest. Encourage them to make the nest really cozy and warm for the baby birds with scraps and leftover materials from previous projects. You could also use natural materials from outside to make it extra fun and engaging! Once the nest is decorated the puppet is finished and you can play with the puppet and create a story about baby birds!
