Is it time for a room makeover in your child’s room? This design for a beautiful shared room for girls is just incredible.
We at Kids Activities Blog hope you find some inspiration from the ideas in this Paris themed room for girls.
Designing for family is a passion of mine. I thrive on making a space special for each of them… To see their faces light up in a room that reflects their individuality, decoratively.
Redesigning my daughters’ shared bedroom was no exception. It began with a brilliant Craig’s List find of two mint condition Jenny Lind beds and evolved into an eclectic mixture representing both of the girl’s personalities. We transformed the vintage beds by painting them a subtle grey and created a Parisian inspired theme around them.
A memory evoking gallery wall occupies a large portion of the room’s landscape and is made up of closely grouped pieces of traditional and modern art, hand drawn images, old photographs and random items that were collected over the years.
By blending newer more modern elements like an Ikea desk that we spray painted hot pink and older relics like the industrial letters from former signage that are hung above each bed, a naturally delicate balance was achieved. The shared room has a fashionable, vintage chic feel and with the oversized Eiffel Tower wall decal you can almost imagine yourself wandering the streets of Paris. Without hesitation or haste, both of my girls have settled into their new room flawlessly, which in turn makes for a very happy and inspired mommy.
