Cavanaugh Flight Museum

It’s a wonderful time of year to be outside with the kids (or inside)! Throw on a bomber jacket and wander around the Cavanaugh Flight Museum. With today’s DEAL, you’ll get an inside look at the history of aviation: only $10 for 2 adult passes. The Cavanaugh Flight Museum is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization devoted to promoting aviation studies and to perpetuating America’s aviation heritage. Learn about and examine war planes from the World War I, World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War eras and check out their great collection of artwork, artifacts, armor and vehicles. You can talk to the mechanics that keep these aircraft in tip-top shape and watch as they perform ongoing maintenance and restoration of famous aircraft, including the P-51 Mustang, F4U Corsair, B25 Mitchell, and the P40 Warhawk. Who isn’t fascinated by these airplanes that were once used in battle? It’s the perfect excursion for boys and girls of any age. Many of their aircrafts continue to fly on a regular basis. On any given day, you may see aircraft active on the museum’s ramp. Visitors can also enjoy an outdoor picnic area, an air conditioned canteen, a large aviation art gallery and a gift store. So pack a lunch and make it an outing with family or friends. Two adult admissions for only $10? Can’t beat that on a sunny (or rainy) day!
