With a new year approaching you may be thinking about adding healthier alternatives to your daily routine.
With that being said, you should know that Philadelphia is releasing a plant-based cream cheese and I am so excited about it!
According to Kraft Heinz (the brand owner), the company has been focusing on driving growth by innovating new products including plant-based alternatives.
“Plant-based has been outpacing the overall categories within all of dairy for quite some time,” said John Crawford, VP of client insights for dairy at IRI.
And aside from that, the company had two key factors they worked on to be enticing to people wanting to try this new product.
They had to get the product to melt and spread easily on toasted bread or a warm waffle. Um, YES please!
It will of course be dairy free, lactose free, gluten free and will be only 60 calories per 2 Tablespoons.
When will it be available?
Well, the plant-based spread is available now in original flavor at select retailers in the Southeast including in the Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, and Miami regions.
You can also check your local Target here.
It will officially roll out nationally in 2023 along with more flavors in the product’s line!
I am so excited and cannot wait to try it!
