Learning more about the words that start with the letter P has been pretty fun, already. It is time for our next step as we learn the alphabet.
It is always a good idea to keep things interesting by adding new spelling games and activities to each lesson. What works to learn a letter may not work for every letter in the alphabet!

Since sight words are best taught early, we have prepared words that start with the letter P for your Kindergartners and 1st Graders!
Some words beginning with the letter P are hard to pronounce one letter at a time. For those words, we rely on memorizing a sight word list. The list below contains the most common letter P sight words for kindergarten and first grade. If you find more words that are difficult for your child, you can always add them to your activities. This list of words can have as many words as you would like.

As you go through your week, be conscious of the words that start with the letter P. There are always fun ways to include learning in our daily lives. When you seem excited, they will join in and start to use their new skills to recognize the words, themselves!
