You know how, when you’re shopping with kids, it’s all about what the food looks like?

That fruit snacks with the Disney princesses on it?  They want it!  That cereal that has a Fortnite picture on the box?  They need it!  I’m even guilty of this because I bought BB-8 and Chewbacca yogurts the other day, only to find out that birthday cake yogurt is NOT a hit and I should have just purchased the normal, boring packaging strawberry ones.

This parenting hack from blogger, Jane Stine, solves this problem perfectly!  Instead of buying all the branded items, which may or may not be healthy, just bring your own stickers to the store and plop them on the items you need to purchase.

She writes, “You know how kids always want Paw Patrol yogurt or Disney waffles or whatever? Bring your own stickers to the grocery store and start sticking. Today we’re having Winnie the Pooh brand spaghetti squash. It goes perfectly with Toy Story broccoli.”

It’s brilliant in its simplicity.  A quick package of stickers from your dollar store and you’ve got Elmo apples, Elsa and Anna bananas, Peppa Pig cheese sticks, Baby Yoda zucchini, you name it!

The possibilities are endless and maybe that one little character is the difference between “Yuck” and “I like it!”  And it’s never a bad thing when your kids add a few more veggies to their repertoire.
