Sometimes when we teach our kids lessons, the lesson sticks a little too well. Like when I told my son not to talk to strangers and he refused to say anything to his teacher on the entire (ENTIRE) first day of school. The teacher had no idea what was going on…just that my kiddo wouldn’t speak to her. She knew his name because the kids all had names on their backpacks, but he knew he didn’t know her yet and wasn’t going to chance things. For this little girl, she was told that sugar will hurt her teeth, and she took that to heart. No sugar for her. So even when her dad presents her with a Kinder Egg, one of the eggs that has a toy inside, she explains very sweetly that she won’t be eating it. Take a look!
I love that no only will she not be eating it, but she won’t be giving it to anyone else to eat, either. She doesn’t want their teeth to be bad. And even though she plans to throw it away, she still thanks him for thinking of her. What a sweet and gracious little girl!
