Delicious Homemade Chocolate Mousse ingredients

  • 8 ounces Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 6 Tablespoons Water
  • 2 Tablespoons Vanilla
  • 2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar

Are you ready to make a homemade chocolate mousse?

Directions to Make Delicious Homemade Chocolate Mousse

Step 1

Melt the milk chocolate and water in a saucepan (I use a double boiler).

Step 2

Whisk in the Vanilla and let it cool to room temperature.

Step 3

Whip the cream until it makes soft peaks and then add the powdered sugar.

Step 4

After the chocolate has cooled fold it into the whip cream mixture until it is well combined.

Drizzle some chocolate syrup or any topping that you want!

Step 5

Garnish with more whip cream and chocolate drizzle. You could even be like my kids and have chocolate chips on top too!

NOTE: Be sure to wait until the chocolate has cooled completely before you add it to the whipped cream, otherwise, you will have a runny mess! 

Be patient, it takes a little time to cool down!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 6 Tablespoons Water
  • 2 Tablespoons Vanilla
  • 2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar

Instructions

  1. On a double boiler, melt the milk chocolate.
  2. Add vanilla and let it cool to room temperature.
  3. Whip the cream until it form stiff peaks, then add the powdered sugar.
  4. Fold in the chocolate syrup once it's cooled down. Fold until well incorporated.
  5. Top with more whipped cream and drizzle some chocolate or caramel syrup.

Notes

Be sure to wait until the chocolate has cooled completely before you add it to the whipped cream, otherwise, you will have a runny mess!
