Creamy Garlic Parmesan Asparagus Lasagna Roll-Ups recipe ingredients

  • 1 box lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 1 15 oz. container Ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 bunch of asparagus
  • 6 slices of ham, cut in half
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • pinch salt & pepper

HOW TO MAKE CREAMY GARLIC PARMESAN ASPARAGUS LASAGNA ROLL UPS:

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350F.

Step 2

Make the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce. Start with a skillet over medium heat.  Add the butter and chopped parsley.  Once the butter is completely melted, stir in the flour.  Mix until paste-like consistency forms.

Pour in the milk and whisk briskly.  Bring to a boil, once sauce begins to thicken reduce to simmer.  Add the garlic and Parmesan, stir.  Let simmer for about 5 minutes to incorporate all flavors.

Step 3

While the sauce simmers, assemble the lasagna roll-ups.  Start by beating an egg into the ricotta cheese, add a pinch of salt & pepper.

Lay the cooked lasagna noodles out, place a piece of ham slice on each noodle. Spread a layer of ricotta and top with asparagus. Roll up.

Step 4

Pour 1/4 of the Parmesan sauce into a casserole dish or pan.  Sit the lasagna rolls on the sauce.

Step 5

Top with remaining Parmesan sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.

Step 6

Bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Serve and enjoy once done!
