I have a confession.  My oldest child {who is now 14 years old} has 6 different scrapbooks and photo books that span just his first year of life. No joke. It was a bit obsessive on my part.  I took pictures every day.  A lot of pictures.  In the days before digital.  Stacks and stacks of 4×6 prints. I love having a record of his every-waking moment {and a few of his sleeping ones}, but it is a massive amount of stuff that takes up 1/2 of a bookshelf and 99.9% of the time collects dust. I got to thinking about all this when I heard about the Blinkbuggy Time-Lapse Video App who inspired and sponsored this post.  It creates a time-lapsed video of a life in development, 3 seconds at a time.  The process is simple and only takes a few seconds a week. So, the monthly teddy bear pictures I took could have been more organized and put into an amazing video instead of spread out and in a big non-digitized pile which I scanned in today to make this: Monthly Teddy Photos taken by mom

Monthly Teddy Pictures Taken by Mom

Teddy was a gift at my baby shower by a dear family friend.  Each month I took a picture of Ryan and teddy in the same chair.  One of the things I love looking back and seeing is not only how Ryan grew, but how Teddy has worn into a very, very “loved” bear that still is part of the family. The pictures are great, but with Blinkbuggy this all could have been simpler!  AND not only would I have the photo, but a 3 second snapshot into what life looked like 14 years ago.  This video gives a glimpse of what a difference 3 seconds makes in chronicling the first year.  But unlike that video, Blinkbuggy would do all the work! Blinkbuggy app reminds you to take the video snippet.  Then it does the editing, compiling and storing of the memories! I think the absolute best thing about Blinkbuggy is the reminder!  Sure I have 1000s of prints for my first born, but my second born has one thin scrapbook, and my third child…well, you can find pictures of him on my blog. Boo! What if I started now recording little snippets of their life each week?  A few minute investment would pay off in memories forever. blinkbuggy timelapse app
