Easter is almost here and it’s time to decorate eggs! I remember only two ways of decorating when I was young, which was dye kits and crayons. Every once in a while we would get a little crazy and add stickers.
Now, there are so many fun ideas floating around and so my son and I thought we would try something a little different. I’ve heard you can use temporary tattoos so we decided to give it a shot.

My son is crazy over Avengers – what kid isn’t? So we chose them for our egg theme but you could use any temporary tattoos you’d like. Heroes assemble!
How to Make Avengers Easter Eggs
- First you need to either blow out your eggs (which is what we did) or hard boil them.
- Then, let them dry completely. If they are cold from being in the refrigerator, set them out for a bit so they can warm to room temperature.
- Place the temporary tattoo on the egg and proceed just like you normally would by soaking a towel in water and laying it over top. (I also had to press down around the edges with my finger.)
- Peel back very slowly and check our your super cool Avengers Easter egg!

You can also try dying the eggs before adding the temporary tattoos to add an extra pop of color underneath. This is a really fun way to get super creative Easter eggs without dye, a huge mess and crafting abilities. I think this may just become tradition in our house!
