Dallas bloggers party at Aveda

Last Friday, if you were anywhere near Stonebriar Mall, you probably overheard giggling. Giggling coming from the Aveda store. Because when you gather 20 Dallas area bloggers, you are going to get giggling. The Aveda people were amazing.   They treated us all to some of their very special treatments:

• Hand scrub
• Hair care
• Shoulder massage
• Personal fragrance
• Make-up application

The treatments are ALL great.   I couldn’t even start to pick a favorite…and they offer all these treatments to anyone who walks into their store. Every time I stop by an Aveda store, I learn something which is a total bonus since I am just happy to stand and SMELL! We were introduced to the new line of Summer Solution hair care products. These are products that can help shield your hair from sun damage or help repair worn out summer hair. I have been using them for a few weeks and really like the way they make my hair feel. The thought of the sun damaging my hair hadn’t really occurred to me before this education! The hand scrub was heavenly.   It felt so good.   Tamona mentioned that her feet were jealous of her hands after the treatment. As part of the massage portion, we had our chakra’s analyzed. Turns out that bloggers are very similar in their chakra need…by far, the most commonly chosen symbol/color was intention and expression. It makes sense that we all have a lot in common since we were drawn to blogging from different DFW walks of life. The make-up lesson was much needed.   I had been previously given a sample of the bronzing ritual, but didn’t know how to use it! I learned that color could be applied across the cheek bones and then up and around the outside of my eye next to the hairline, across the bridge of my nose and slight highlight across chin and forehead. It was also really fun to see other people do the personal fragrance selection.   I haven’t posted any pictures of that because they are all kinda odd looking with people “smelling” different bottles.
