  • The Family Place
  • Make-A-Wish North Texas
  • Heroes for Children
YOU can help choose the winner by voting in the Cadillac Cares Challenge (and you can vote daily). This is all such a win-win situation and thought it would be fun to highlight each charity here on She is Dallas over the next week with a little “lobbying” from DFW bloggers who support each cause. Make A Wish North Texas Chapter logoToday we are going to take a closer look at the incredible charity, Make-A-Wish North Texas Chapter. Make-A-Wish’s mission is:   We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The North Texas Chapter grants more than 300 wishes a year.   They also assist other chapters with arrangements for wishes being granted in this area.   Overall, Make-A-Wish makes 12,000 wishes come true a year across the nation. Dwan at Momma D Jane is a HUGE supporter of Make-A-Wish.   She is the mom of a Wish Kid.
Make A Wish kidIf you have been reading my blog for any amount of time then you know how deep my love for the Make-a-Wish Foundation runs! My daughter was a Wish kid and her Wish trip was truly a blessing for our family.   We not only take part in the yearly 5K local to us but we also participate in many activities throughout the year.   We have developed a close relationship with several of the Make-a-Wish Foundation workers.   The whole organization is just amazing! You can follow Gabby’s story on Momma D Jane.
Alyson who writes 3Ps in a Pod also supports Make-A-Wish of North Texas.   She writes about The Wishing Place.
Wishing Place for Make-A-Wish North TexasThe Wishing Place is in Las Colinas. The Wishing Place heightens the power and delight of a child's wish experience and deepens the joy and comfort we provide to the child's family when they come to the area for medical treatment.
YOU can support Make-A-Wish North Texas by clicking through to the Cadillac Cares Challenge and casting a vote.
She is Dallas info:   The Cadillac Cares Challenge ends May 9, 2011.   You can vote daily for your favorite DFW charity.   She is Dallas and the other participating bloggers have been enlisted by the Metroplex Cadillac Dealers to get the word out about the competing charities.   Each blogger was able to request a favorite charity and then write on that charity’s behalf through the generosity of Cadillac.   The Cadillac Cares Challenge is a She is Dallas advertiser.   Watch over the next week as we highlight each of these worthy DFW causes!
