Things I HEART for Valentines Day

When we started Burb Mom over a year ago, one of the reasons was we wanted to promote things about the Dallas-Fort Worth area that we LOVED.   Some of these places have become advertisers on Burb Mom…it only stands to reason that places/services/people we HEART are the people we approach to advertise. They are the places we go. This all fits in so nicely with Valentines Day.   Many of our advertisers have unique and romantically unique gifts for this special holiday. Here are a few of my favorites:

Christie at Scentsy has a variety of fun wickless aromatic candles. Scentsy has decorative warmers that melt wax by the heat of a light bulb instead of a traditional wick and flame making it safer and longer lasting. I have ordered from Christie before and absolutely LOVE the plug-in warmer that hangs in my bathroom.   It is attractive and heats up quickly enough that I can turn it on when I need it.   One of my favorite things is to have it running with one of the cinnamon or vanilla scents while I take a bath. If you are unsure of what to buy your sweetie, I would email or call Christie and either ask her advice or figure out a gift certificate so she can pick out what she wants herself.

Sumo cookies is really the answer to ANY Valentine’s Day gift. I mean really, who isn’t enchanted by super humongous fortune cookies? Sumo Fortune Cookies are available in various sizes and with custom fortunes. Shhhh…I ordered teacher gifts from there today with custom messages from the teacher’s class. So CUTE! You can purchase them online and have them shipped or stop by their Flower Mound location and pick something out in person.

Candy Haven has TONS of fun things for Valentine’s Day. Their chocolate covered strawberries are amazing. Their cake is amazing. Their cupcakes are amazing. Their truffles are amazing…. I could go on and and on.   I have purchased and eaten a lot of almost everything they sell! Oh!   If you can’t decide which to buy for your sweetie, you might consider a gift basket with assorted goodies.

And last, but not least because I LOVE a good massage is Tina Marie Kounalis, LCMT. Tina is a Massage Therapist in Flower Mound.   I haven’t made it over to her…yet, but both Shauna and Bianca RAVE about her mad massage skilz.
