Have you ever needed a last minute dip or appetizer for a party or family gathering?
I cannot tell you how many times I have made plans at the last minute for a get-together only to immediately start thinking to myself okay, what am I going to serve ?
This is the dip I keep in my back pocket because it has always been a huge hit for me, it is a total crowd pleaser, and it is so simple to make. The only complaint I have ever received is why didn't I bring more?
Trust me, it tastes like you spent a lot of time and effort on it “ when you really just whipped it up at the last minute. And, the best part is it only uses FIVE ingredients.
1 1/2 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 Pkg Hot/Spicy Sausage
1 Small Can Chopped Green Chilies
1 Pkg Cream Cheese
1 Sourdough Bread Boule
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Hollow out bread boule
- Brown Sausage
- Microwave cream cheese for 1 minute
- Mix cheddar cheese, sausage, chilies, and cream cheese together.
- Put in hollowed out bread boule
- Put bread boule w/ dip on a cookie sheet and cook in the oven for 20 minutes at 350.
Serve with tortilla chips.
If you were feeling brave (and no one was looking) you could even spread this dip on a nice soft piece of bread and eat it as a sandwich. It is that good! You could also save the bread cubes from when you hollowed out the boule and use them to dip with if you like.
With these easy ingredients and quick steps, I hope this becomes one of your Back Pocket favorite recipes too!
