Does your child love building with LEGOs? If so, they will love the monthly LEGO Club Meetings at
local LEGO stores.
Monthly LEGO Club Meetings take place at all LEGO stores. Club members meet on Saturday mornings one hour before the store opens. Kids have so much fun participating in the theme games and building activities. Cost per meeting is $25 per child (or $20 for LEGO Club members). Cost includes activities as well as a free club Tshirt and gift. Pre-registration is required and space is limited to 20 children per meeting. For more information, contact your local LEGO store: Stonebriar Centre, 2601 Preston Rd., 972-668-3859 and Northpark Center, 8687 N. Central Expy, 214-750-6422. You can also check out the
LEGO Store website.
Nicholas attended the April LEGO Club meeting at Stonebriar. He was so excited to check it out, especially since the theme was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The kids were divided up into 5 groups of 4. The activities started with a fun little trivia game to see who knew the most about the characters and actions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It was a fun way to start the morning.

Next, each group was given two boxes LEGOs. One was random building blocks and the other included pieces specific to the LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line. They were given an assignment to work together as a team to build a martial arts training course for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to practice on.

The boys worked together to come up with ideas on what to build then they each took charge of a piece to build. Nicholas built a contraption that would throw two nets on the turtles and they had to be quick enough to avoid being captured.

Then they combined each piece to make a cool obstacle course that would be a challenge for any Ninja Turtle to complete. What a fun way to make new friends, play with LEGOs, and learn about teamwork!

At the end, each child was given an exclusive LEGO Club Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle t-shirt and a LEGO gift!

Nicholas had such a great time at the LEGO Club Meeting. We’ll definitely do this again. I hear that the theme for the next LEGO Club meeting will be Marvel Super Heroes!

This sounds like so much fun I can not wait to see if it is done at Grapevine Mills Mall as my son would enjoy this so much. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Glenda, my son did have a great time. I asked them if these were also held at LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Grapevine Mills Mall but he said they are not. The theme park and the retail store are run by two separate companies.
