Activision Family Games Summit. This event will show you how to transform family game night into family video game night!
This event is a live on Tuesday, November 13th at Noon CST. The event itself is in New York City but will be broadcast online for those of us who can’t get to NYC. So how great is that, you can actually watch this event live on your computer!
The Summit will be hosted by actress, author, entrepreneur, and mom, Soleil Moon Frye! If you are my age, you probably remember her from “Punky Brewster”. Soleil Moon now runs a really fun blog called moonfrye. It addresses all of the topics important to us as moms. She is also the author of “Happy Chaos” — something we can all relate to.
Frye will be joined by a number of experts including Nicole Armstrong from Activision, Suzanne Kantra from Techlicious.com, and Patricia Vance, President of the ESRB. And our own Holly Homer will be there representing our community (Holly is actually among the fabulous organizers of this event — way to go Holly!) Holly told me that what she enjoyed about last year was that all of the conversations were applicable to life. And even if you are not an avid gamer, you can learn about gaming trends and the effects on children. Holly will also be tweeting pictures live at hashtag ##ATVIfamgames.
As I mentioned this is an event we can all take part in — and it’s free! All you have to do is register here to either be there in person or online. I have already registered and can’t wait for the Summit next week.
