Children can participate in the JR Ranger  PEAK  (Promoting Environmental Awareness in Kids) Program  of Leave No Trace Families will also get an introducation to geo-caching, fishing, kayaking and exploring Nature’s night noises. Best of all, all of your basic camping equipment is provided for you by TP&W.   Just bring your own food (a suggested list is provided), plates,  bedding and personal items.     The cost  for a family of (up to) 6 is $65, which includes all state park fees.   Reservations are required.   Fishing license are not required in any state parks. Cedar Hill State Park, as it’s name implies, is set among the beautiful hills covered in Cedar and Juniper, similar to what a visitor would find in the Texas Hill Country.   The gentle rise offers some wonderful bike riding, as well as hiking, bird watching, historical demonstrations in Penn Farm (see their calendar), and much, much more!
