CPR saves lives.
It is as simple as that. Nearly 92% of those who suffer a sudden cardiac arrest die before reaching the hospital, this scary statistic could be drastically reduced if more people knew CPR.
Anyone can learn CPR. The American Heart Association notes:
Put very simply: The life you save with CPR is most likely to be someone you love.
Cardiac arrests are more common than many think. You don’t need to be old or out of shape to experience one! Since 88% of cardiac arrests occur at home, it is really important for someone in the house to know CPR. Not knowing CPR results in unnecessary deaths. Those who DO receive CPR immediately after sudden cardiac arrest have a survival rate much higher than those who don’t.
