I’m excited to check out This Side Up’s big event of the summer that takes place this weekend. They are having a big family fun event and splashfest and it’s all FREE!
But if you don’t mind splurging on a $5.00 little rubber ducky then you can enter the little guy in the Lucky Duck Race where you just might win tickets on Southwest Airlines or even $1000!
She Is Dallas Info: This Free Family Fun/Splashfest will take place on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 9:30 am – noon at the Tom Muehlenbeck Aquatic Center located at 5801 W. Parker Rd., Plano, Texas 75093. Did I mention that this is a FREE event? The Tom Muehlenbeck Center is AWESOME! A rockin’ pool with LOTS of shade and FUN is the best place to be on a Summer Day! Leisure and play pools with sitting areas, water volleyball, play structure for toddlers and a variety of spray features PLUS 3 large waterslides.
There will be $1 Snow Cones, Popcorn and Soda. Yum! But also a DJ, Tattoos, Prize Wheel, Martial Arts Demo, Duck Ring Toss and more! There will even be party favors….Oh how my kids love party favors! You will leave with BOTH a delicious cookie from
Tiff’s Treats and a Family Bag with Great Family FUN and Safety Info.
The actual Duck Race will be at approximately 11:15am. First, the ducks will be divided into 2 groups. They will go down 2 different slides and we’ll all see who WINS! The top 10 from each race will then race again for the GRAND PRIZES of $1000 and Southwest Airlines Tickets! All 20 top ducks will receive a PRIZE! You do not have to be present to win!
You can increase your chances of WINNING by buying more ducks! ($5 per duck or buy a flock of 5 ducks for $20.)
