My kids are obsessed with Dinosaurs (Roar, I added that for them)! We play, read and watch dinosaurs as much as we can. It's a great way to learn about their history and imagine living in a time when dinosaurs ruled the world. They forget to put away their dirty clothes but they remember all the dinosaur names…I hear Brontosaurus, Triceratops or Tyrannosaurus Rex all over the house! I think the TV show Dino Dan actually inspired them. RedBox is offering Dino Dan: Dino Trackers / Ready? Set? Dino! on DVD right now “ it’s a great way to teach your kids about dinosaurs!
My kids and I wanted to share how we play dinosaurs in the backyard. We have tons of dinos in all shapes, sizes and species. So we have a lot to choose from. First we need our supplies.
Here's the list:
-Dinosaurs
-Sticks
-Grass
-Rocks
We find a great tree to be our staging ground. Then we set-up our dinosaur forest with our sticks, rocks and grass. It's more fun for the kids to do something different every time. It may not resemble Dan's neighborhood or school “ but we go old school and do it all outside in the yard.
Who knew all dinosaurs got along? In our dinosaur world they do. My kids (ages 5 and 3) make sure the dinosaurs eat from our trees, walk around roaring, and play in the dirt. Sounds about right! We will have to check with Dino Dan to see if that’s how they act in their world.
