The 35,000-square-foot indoor attraction is the second LEGOLAND Discovery Center venue to open in the U.S. and the fifth in the world. It offers a fun, highly interactive and educational two to three hour indoor experience, which is ideal for families with children. Based on the ever-popular LEGO ® brick, LEGOLAND Discovery Center provides a range of interactive features including hands-on play areas complete with this cool climbing area that my son can play in for HOURS! Of course, we saw all three of the movies playing in the 4D cinema several times. The current movies are Bob the Builder, Spellbreaker, and Clutch Powers. The movies are really cool with special effects that surprise you throughout like rain, wind, lightning, and even a few snow flurries! My son said Clutch Powers was his favorite because he thought he got the wettest in that one! The rides at Legoland are a lot of fun. Kingdom’s Quest is my favorite because I loved using the laser guns to shoot the “bad guys’ as our ride went along. But my son’s favorite ride is Merlin’s Apprentice. The signature MINILAND exhibit, which is a re-creation of landmarks in North Texas out of LEGO bricks, was really cool to see. There is the American Airlines Center, Cowboy Stadium, Southfork Ranch, and Great Wolf Lodge, just to name a few. My little three year old even had a great time. She spent a lot of time in the play area and LEGO Girls Princess Parlor. However, she especially loved the Duplo Village which has a playhouse with slide and lots of giant LEGO bricks to build with. We can’t wait to go back later this week to check out the new LEGO City: Forest Ranger Pursuit ride! Don’t forget that annual pass holders get a sneak preview on Wednesday and Thursday so grab yours today!
We are going in the morning!
