Yesterday I took the older two boys to Six Flags. It was Reid’s (5) first trip to an amusement park. I had a sneaking suspicion that my little adrenaline junkie would enjoy himself. We started in Looney Tunes land with the kids rides.
We then worked our way through the park onto bigger rides. Reid fell in love with the roller coaster. He was interested in riding them all, but at a little taller than 42″ that is not an option.
For the last ride of the day I found one of the bigger coasters that would allow him ridership at his short stature. I sat next to him and heard his happy screams. When it was over I was surprised to turn and see this:
Such a sad face!
“Reid, did that scare you?”
“No mommy.”
“Then why are you so sad?”
“Why can’t roller coasters be longer?”
What a “boy” thing to say! Sweet…
Awe. That brought a smile to my face.
He is so right.
Why can’t they be longer?
The expression on his face is priceless, but I so wasn’t expecting what he said! *lol*
Count me with Reid. They SHOULD be longer! Love the way you captured the day!
Now that’s a great day! Wow. What an experience and to want more! 🙂 High five MISS HOLLY! whoot!
