Today is a challenge.

Back–

2) guessing how I am going to them
with a $20 Amazon.com gift certificate via email…

Do NOT despair if you are here late. This is not an easy mission if you choose to accept it. The mission will end 6/19/08 at 1:00 AM CST. I will announce the winner next Friday. You are ineligible to play if I have shown these to you in real life!

Hints:
1) These items were hand made for me.
2) They were made by someone who met me through/reads my blog (Thanks Julie!).
3) They were inspired by this post.
4) I will use them on all future beaver trapping expeditions.
5) I will use them in a way that is different then the original intention.

Good luck! For tips on how to further fight the frump…go visit Fussy!

  1. I’m just going to guess what I would do with them – which is stick them in the top of my daughter’s bedroom doorway. Fancy. I’ve been meaning to make something for that. Hm.

  2. Are they meant to jazz up your land scape ๐Ÿ˜‰ I bet the HOA would love ’em!

How are the traps doing these days?

  3. I’m guessing they were originally intended to decorate a lamp. But that you’re going to put them aorun dthe top of your books to make them ultra-sexay the next time you fall onto the golf course ๐Ÿ˜€

  4. Ok, they ARE fabric strips with ribbon and bead fringe usually used for decorating a lamp, the bottom of pant, shorts shirt…but I think you are going to use them for collars on any trapped beaver sothat you will know if they sre the same beavers you have already trapped! Anyway, they WOULD be really cute that way…just don’t get hurt!

  5. Good guesses everyone. Some of you are close. Some of you are making me laugh very hard. But NO ONE has got the entire correct answer yet…

    1. What is the original beaver trapping intention?
    2. How am I going to use them on future (all) beaver trapping trips?

Alrighty, back to regularly scheduled guessing:

  6. If you are using them for future beaver trapping expeditions, but not as they are intended to be used, I believe you might be using them to wrap around trees as a landmark so you don’t venture into embarrassing territory wearing insufficient clothing.

They look like fringe to be used either at the bottom of a dress or possibly (but maybe not that fabric color) to trim some furniture.

  7. They look like wedding garters to me. Or trim for a lampshade. Then I read your beaver story and can’t really see how the girly pink strip ties could fit into that situation, unless you are going to add fringe to the top of your gigantic boots.

  8. i have no freakin’ clue. how about you are going to put this on your forehead every time you open your minivan door…
