Here at Kids Activities Blog we love DIYs! Today we have a DIY box made with a free printable. The cool thing about this printable box template is that it’s so versatile and you can make so many things with it! You can use it as a container for jewelry, as a gift box, to make your own dice, or even just for decoration.

Square Box Template

Our first box template is a square box. Cut around the patterns and glue the tabs to make a paper cube. You can even use this template to make your very own dice for board games.

Rectangular Box Template

Our second box template is a template to make a rectangular box. Make a rectangular box to store your necklaces or other long items. Just cut, glue, and decorate!

How To Make a Box Using Our Box Template

Materials Needed:

  • Printed box template (download on the link below)
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick or double-sided tape
  • Colored paper or cardstock (optional)
  • Markers, stickers, washi tape, or other decorations (optional)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Print the template on regular paper or cardstock.
  2. Carefully cut along the solid lines of the template using kid-friendly scissors.
  3. Fold along the dotted lines, creasing each edge. Fold the tabs and sides inward.
  4. Apply glue or double-sided tape to the tabs indicated on the template, and hold each tab in place for a few seconds to ensure it sticks well.
  5. Allow the glue to dry completely before using the box.
  6. Once dry, your box is ready to be used or decorated as you like!
