I’ve taken my son to a one day workshop there and he had a great time learning about canoeing, archery, hiking, and more. The Camp Tonkawa mission is to reconnect mankind to nature through “hands on” teaching of the ancient Native American skills of nature awareness and primitive wilderness survival. The Camp Tonkawa Fall Festival is a fundraiser to support this mission by providing funding to build a multipurpose barn that includes a teaching center and camper’s loft.
