Hershey’s is Releasing Plant-Based Candy Bars and We Are Here For It
If you’ve been looking for healthier alternatives to your favorite candy bars, look no further!
Hershey’s is officially releasing plant-based candy bars and we are totally here for it!

The two candy bars that will be revamped with plant-based ingredients are Reese’s and Hershey’s chocolate bars.
Both options are considered vegan.

The Reese’s Plant Based Peanut Butter Cup is described as oat chocolate confection and peanut butter.
The Hershey’s Plant Based Chocolate Bar is described as oat chocolate confection that is extra creamy almond and sea salt. YUM!

Hershey said consumers want choice and are looking for products they consider healthier or with fewer ingredients, including reduced sugar and plant-based options.

The Reese’s Plant Based Peanut Butter Cups will go on sale this month while the Hershey’s Plant Based Extra Creamy with Almonds and Sea Salt will go on sale in April.

It is important to know, the plant-based versions will cost more. Retailers ultimately set final prices, but Rite Aid has a 1.4-ounce package of two plant-based Reese’s Cups at $2.49 which is about a dollar more than traditional Reese’s.
I don’t know about you, but I am excited to give these a try!
