I am headed this Saturday to
Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine because on June 11 (in coordination with the other GWL locations) it will host the
2nd Annual World’s Largest Waterslide-athon.
All that sliding will be for a good cause because 100% of the money raised will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters.

The
1st Annual World’s Largest Waterslide-athon raised $125,000. Last year’s event set a Guinness World Record for longest distance water sliding in 24 hours in multiple venues . More than 45,000 Great Wolf Lodge guests slid for more than 3,500 miles. This year’s goal is to double the amount raised last year.
Yep, $250,000 for good AND waterslides.
All day (11 am to 11 pm) Great Wolf Lodge will donate $1 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America for every ride down the designated waterslide.
They are opening to the public for a special
Waterpark After Dark starting at 9pm and extending to midnight. For a $10 entrance fee which will be donated to the cause, everyone (guests of the hotel and public participants) can splash and slide in the park. The additional hours will help the Waterslide-athon reach its goal. **THESE TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT**
If you can’t join me at the
Waterslide-athon or
Waterpark After Dark, you can still participate virtually. There is a virtual waterslide-athon on the
Great Wolf Water park Facebook page. You can visit the FB page and make a virtual slide, share it with your friends or make a donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters. This FB event is going now and will continue through the 11th.
