She Is Dallas Info: “Babes” has locations around the Metroplex including: locations in Garland, Frisco, Arlington, Carrolton, and Granbury. I have heard that each Babes Restaurant serves a different signature platter, so if you are going to one of the other Babes locations be sure to check out the menu. Check out their website to choose your location and learn more about the history of Babe’s. Show them some love and ‘Like’ them on Facebook.
Chicken and LOTS of it. In addition to Chicken they also serve country-fried steak and all meals come with mashed potatoes, gravy, biscuits and creamed corn – but that is it. There is no lingering over the menu debating for 15 minuets about what to eat!
Bring a big appetite! They serve mountains of food family-style, a big platter in the middle of your table for all to share. Their biscuits are made from scratch on-site, along with the rest of their selection and you can totally tell! If you are coming on the weekend bring a cooler, you won't be the only one. This is one of the few restaurants I have ever been to where people tail-gated prior to the meal. It is not unusual to see a group of people waiting for a table in the road tossing a football. After dinner it is nice to stroll around the shops of Oak Street Roanoke, or stop by Granny's Cupboard for some pie “ yummy! I am a former resident of Roanoke, and Babes is one of the places I miss the most.

My husband’s first job was at Babe’s! I love the fried chicken.
I found this blog recently (I think Jenny from Conscientious Confusion guest posted?) and since I live in Roanoke, it was fun to see Babe’s featured. I can walk to Babe’s from my house, which may have influenced our decision to buy the house 🙂
Twisted Root and Brix, across the street, are both equally delicious.
