Santa Reindeer Live Cam FAQ
Santa lives at the North Pole with Mrs. Claus in a house next to a toy factory filled with elves. Santa’s barn is full of reindeer that help him pull his sleigh each Christmas eve.
Santa’s reindeer are Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and Rudolph. By my count, Santa only has 9 reindeer which are harnessed in pairs with Rudolph leading the pack.
Did you know that the North Pole has not been assigned a time zone? At the North Pole all of the lines of longitude converge! Santa can use whatever time zone he desires. Some people use North Pole, AK as a benchmark for the time zone at the North Pole which is AKST – Alaska Standard Time 9 hours behind Coordinated Universal Time or UTC.
Reindeer are mostly vegetarians eating moss, tree leaves, fresh grass and fungi. If you want to leave something for Santa’s reindeer as a treat, an apple or carrot is a good choice. Read more about reindeer diet at A-Z Animals
