AMC Grapevine Dinner IN a movieRecently I had the pleasure of going on a date with my husband. Sans kids. Now that, in and of itself, is a minor miracle. Trying to find a babysitter that is both capable and responsible enough to care for 5 children and is ALSO available? Well, let's just say that all the planets aligned for this one and I was able to take my husband out for dinner and a movie. I can't imagine how it could get any better. Except? Someone else was footing the bill. I was beyond thrilled. I guess the evening wasn't completely free, though. After all, a capable responsible available babysitter is worth her weight in gold. Texan Papa and I went to see Inception at the AMC Grapevine Mills 30 Theater. This movie was older but the facility was brand-spankin ™ new. We watched the movie in the new Cinema Suites dine-in theater, and you would not believe this place.
She is Dallas info:   The AMC Grapevine Mills 30 Theater is located at 3150 Grapevine Mills Parkway Grapevine, TX 76051 next to Grapevine Mills Mall.   It has converted 13 of its theater rooms to dine-in options.   The Cinema Suites are an upscale eating and watching experience (an additional $15 is charged and then deducted from the food bill) and Fork & Screen is casual dining with a lesser $10 charge (also deducted from the food bill).
Let me set the scene for you: AMC Grapevine dine-in theater seat Buttery soft leather recliners with individual tray-tables. Reserved seat selection when tickets are purchased. Entire theater reserved for people 21 and older only. Menu items for refined tastes, including selections like lobster ravioli and angus brisket quesadillas. This place was just calling out to parents who need an escape from the chaos of reality. The movie was good “ although I ™ll say you had to REALLY pay close attention or you're bound to get lost very quickly. The theater was really awesome, although I ™d say it would be nice to have the footrests not go up quite so high (I was peeking over my boots to see the movie screen). Texan Papa really enjoyed his food “ he got the beef tips in sauce. I thought mine was not so great “ I got the buffalo chicken strips (they tasted like chopped formed chicken nuggets, I was expecting more something like actual strips of chicken. And the buffalo part was a cup of buffalo sauce that I could dip my plain chicken strips into). I highly recommend the parmesan French fries. They are truly yummy. We had a wonderful time, thanks to Allied Integrated Marketing. They're the folks who treated us to a night out.
